SDG-I

In 2015 the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with 169 associated targets: Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. To measure the progress of Belgium towards the SDGs, the Interfederal Statistical Institute (ISI, website available in French and Dutch) selected a set of 34 indicators, i.e. two per goal. These indicators were first presented in the Belgian Voluntary National Review (VNR), submitted to the July 2017 United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. Other sustainable development indicators are gradually added to this set. In 2019, the ISI adopted the 83 indicators listed below.

In the Assessment of sustainable development indicators, the Federal Planning Bureau assesses for Belgium the trends of indicators towards the SDGs.
